Major Law Firm Renews at BofA Plaza

Law firm Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP signed a 15-year lease renewal for 185,000 square feet of space in its headquarters at Bank of America Plaza on Bunker Hill. The 80-year-old firm is an original tenant of the building, which opened in 1974. The law firm plans a major renovation of the space. Bank of America Plaza is 94% leased and was acquired by Brookfield Properties Corporation as part of its buyout of Trizec in 2006. "This lease represents one of the largest commitments in Downtown Los Angeles in the last year," said John Barganski, vice president of leasing for Brookfield. Barganski and Chris Dillavou, leasing manager for Brookfield Properties, represented the landlord in the deal. The tenant was represented by Steve Bay, Clay Hammerstein, Gregg Pasternack and Mark Sprague of CB Richard Ellis.
